OverScan is a feature built into many HDTVs, including the Vizio line. It is meant to ensure that video is displayed at the correct resolution and aspect ratio for your screen. However, OverScan involves cropping the edges of the video, which results in lost pixels. Though the resulting image may fill your entire screen, it can also appear fuzzy or pixelated. To turn off OverScan and view video that is free of manipulation, access your television’s settings menu.
