Updated February 10, 2017 Turn the CD player off. Turn the CD player back on. Resetting the CD player may rectify the problem. Find the small pin hole next to the CD tray or in the back of the device. Place the end of a paperclip in the hole. Push it in so it releases the slot. This may cause the CD tray to open. Turn off the CD player. Unplug the device. With your fingers, attempt to gently slide open the CD tray. Try not to put a lot of pressure on the device. Writer Bio
