Fdisk is a DOS command prompt tool present in older versions of the Windows operating system such as Windows 98 and Windows 95. You can use the Fdisk command to format computer hard drives that use the older FAT and FAT32 file system. This command will not work with computers that run newer Windows operating systems or run on the NTSF file system. When you format the hard drive disk, you will erase all the data, so be sure to make a backup of all files you want to keep. Writer Bio
